Thwane… is the native Tswana word for caracal, a very common predator in our area. Thwane Safari’s was established more than a decade ago as one of Africa’s best Bow Hunting Ranches. Big Game Hunter, outfitter and owner Marius Barnard has one goal with his sons Rhuan Barnard (PH) and Marno Barnard (PH) in mind – to offer his clients a high quality safari.
The luxurious Thwane Safaris Lodge is situated on top of a hill that is surrounded by beautiful big mountains with a view overlooking other mountains and the Sub-Savannah plains that are being grazed by all kinds of wild Game. This beautiful scenery and free roaming Gemsbuck/Oryx inspired us to create the Thwane Safaris Lodge.
All chalets consist of a private outside viewing deck, which connects you with the vast stretches of the sub-savannah plains and mountains beyond, where you can escape from everyday reality while glancing over the wild game and bird life around the lodge and waterhole.
